Dr. William G. Wright, MD, MSPH, FAAFP, has been recognized for his long-standing commitment to the Colorado medical community. With more than 42 years of service, Dr. Wright joined the board of the Colorado Physician Health Program (CPHP) in 2014 and has held several leadership positions such as secretary, vice chair, and chair.

Over the past decade, Dr. Wright has worked to advance physician health by acting as an advocate, mentor, educator, and leader. He played a key role in starting initiatives aimed at improving mental health and wellness among medical professionals. One notable effort is the Doc2Doc Wellbeing Consulting Program developed in partnership with the Colorado Medical Society (CMS). This program provides immediate support to healthcare workers experiencing burnout, stress, and other related issues.

His leadership has guided CPHP through various challenges including changes in healthcare delivery and the COVID-19 pandemic. Throughout these periods of uncertainty, Dr. Wright provided steady guidance and support.
