An ongoing survey is inviting all faculty, staff, and students at the University of Colorado (CU) to contribute input for the university’s next strategic plan. The survey, distributed via email, is a key part of developing Strategic Plan 2.0, which will guide CU after its current five-year plan concludes at the end of this academic year.

The survey asks recipients to share their perspectives on the future direction of the university. Only those who did not complete the initial survey in November received a follow-up email with a unique link. According to instructions provided by CU, each link is individualized and cannot be shared. Completing the survey is expected to take about ten minutes.

To encourage participation, CU has announced that the campus with the highest response rate among faculty, staff, and students will receive a $1,000 donation for its campus food pantry.

“This survey is designed to gather perspectives on university priorities, performance and opportunities for improvement,” President Todd Saliman said in his email launching the effort. “The insights you provide will help shape our next Strategic Plan as we work to continue delivering for our community.”

Strategic Planning Co-Chairs Lynn Vidler, provost at UCCS, and Chad Marturano, vice president and chief financial officer for the CU system, emphasized that feedback from across the university community will be crucial in shaping a strategic direction that aligns with shared values and aspirations.

A draft version of Strategic Plan 2.0 is scheduled to be submitted to President Saliman by June. The final plan will be presented to the Board of Regents during the summer.
