University of Colorado releases update on federal policy changes affecting higher education

From October 24, the University of Colorado’s Federal Relations and Counsel provided an update covering several federal issues. The topics include the status of a potential federal government shutdown, guidance from USCIS on H-1B visa fees, a court decision affecting Department of Defense indirect cost caps, developments in a deal involving the University of Virginia and the White House, the resumption of federal loan forgiveness programs, information about a new White House Higher Education Compact, the swearing-in of the ARPA-H Director, and consolidation within the Department of Energy’s Science Advisory Committee.
