Next week, drivers on Colorado Highway 7 (Arapahoe Avenue) in Boulder will encounter a new traffic pattern as construction crews work on the westbound lanes between Foothills Parkway and Range Street. Traffic will be reduced to one lane in each direction on the eastbound side to allow for safe completion of the project. This configuration is expected to last through September 22.

During this period, access to local businesses along the corridor will remain open. Pedestrians are advised to use posted detour routes to navigate safely around the construction area.

From Friday, September 19 at 5 p.m. until Monday, September 22 at 5 a.m., the north intersection of CO 7 and 48th Street will be closed for milling and paving operations. A detour will be available to maintain access to 48th Street throughout the weekend.

Detour routes have been established for those needing access to Boulder Community Health during these changes.
