The Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) and Brannan Sand and Gravel, LLC will begin resurfacing a section of the Interstate 70 Eisenhower-Johnson Memorial Tunnels on Sunday night, September 14. The project is expected to continue through late October.

The maintenance work will require alternating traffic in the tunnels during overnight hours. Motorists may experience delays of up to 30 minutes while the work is underway.

According to CDOT, these measures are necessary to ensure safe and efficient travel through the tunnel area during construction.
