The Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) and its contractor, SEMA Construction, Inc., will implement overnight lane closures on Interstate 25 in Colorado Springs as part of ongoing work to set girders on the bridge structure over Ellston Street. The affected stretch runs from Mile Point 144 near Fillmore Street to Mile Point 146 near Garden of the Gods Road and is part of the I-25 Acceleration/Deceleration Lanes Project.

Lane closures are scheduled for Tuesday, Sept. 2. According to CDOT, the northbound right lane between Fillmore Street and Garden of the Gods Road will close from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. Later in the evening, from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m., both the northbound right and middle lanes will be closed, reducing traffic flow to one lane during those hours. All lanes are expected to reopen by 6 a.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 3.

Additionally, Sinton Trail at Ellston Street under I-25 will be closed from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. CDOT notes that this schedule is weather-dependent and may change if necessary.
