Mesa County Valley School District 51 has marked the beginning of the academic year with a series of events and sports activities. In a message to families and staff, Superintendent Dr. Brian Hill highlighted the positive start and looked ahead to upcoming September events, including Homecoming.

Dr. Hill encouraged community members to support student athletes during the fall sports season. He attended a recent Cross Country meet at Las Colonias Park, where Central High School (CHS) secured first place in both varsity boys and girls races. He recognized all athletes and coaches for their efforts.

The superintendent also noted an upcoming football game between CHS and Fruita Monument High School (FMHS), inviting families and staff to attend: “Come join me as we cheer on our Warriors and Wildcats.”
