The International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers (IAM) Veteran Services Department has opened registration for its 2026 Veteran’s Advocate Training. The event will take place from February 8 to 13, 2026, at the William W. Winpisinger Education and Technology Center in Hollywood, Maryland. Members interested in participating must submit their registration by Monday, December 15, 2025.

The training is designed to provide IAM members with instruction on U.S. Veterans Affairs benefits, delivered by certified professionals. Upon completion of the program, participants will join the IAM-wide Veteran Service Officer (VSO) team. This network assists IAM members who are U.S. military veterans.

According to the IAM, “Through this course, members acquire the knowledge and skills necessary to assist veterans in navigating the often-complex VA benefits system, ensuring that our brothers and sisters who served receive the support, resources, and respect they deserve.”

The call letter includes information about tuition policies, transportation arrangements, and curriculum details for those considering enrollment.

For more information or questions regarding registration or program specifics, individuals are encouraged to contact the IAM Veteran Services Department at 301-967-4500.
