The City of Grand Junction Commission on Arts and Culture has opened its annual funding program for applications. Nonprofit organizations, as well as governmental or educational agencies in Colorado that promote local arts and cultural activities, are eligible to apply. The application deadline is set for Sunday, February 1, 2026, at 11:59 p.m.

This year, a total of $70,000 is available to support nonprofit arts and cultural organizations. Funded events must occur between March 31, 2026, and March 30, 2027. Each project may request up to $4,500 in funding. Applicants are required to present their proposals in person to the Commission on either February 23 or February 24, 2026. Funding recipients will be notified during the week of March 2, 2026.

According to the City of Grand Junction Commission on Arts and Culture, “This funding program helps provide employment, sales, and performance opportunities for working artists and those who work for cultural nonprofits. It supports a broad range of community cultural events, exhibits, presentations, and projects. The arts are an important industry to recognize, and the business of art is an essential part of our community’s economic foundation.” For further details about the program or application process, interested parties can contact Haley Van Camp at haley.vancamp@gjcity.org.
