The City of Grand Junction is set to hold a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Thursday, November 20, at noon to mark the completion of the Horizon Drive and G Road roundabout. The event will also highlight the installation of a new art feature at the site.

According to city officials, this roundabout is a significant step in improving safety, traffic flow, and connectivity along the Horizon Drive corridor. The project has been in development for over ten years and involved collaboration between the City of Grand Junction and the Horizon Drive Business Improvement District. The aim was to enhance what is considered a key gateway to the community.

The ceremony will take place at 698 Horizon Drive. Attendees are advised that the site has an uneven surface and should wear appropriate footwear. Parking will be available along 27 ½ Court, with additional overflow parking provided at First Presbyterian Church located at 3940 27 ½ Road.

“This roundabout marks an important milestone in improving safety, traffic flow, and connectivity in the Horizon Drive corridor. The project represents more than a decade of planning and collaboration between the City of Grand Junction and the Horizon Drive Business Improvement District to enhance this key gateway to our community,” stated city representatives.
