Colorado Mesa University (CMU) has formed a partnership with Access Early Education Foundation (AEEF) to offer new childcare services for its students, faculty, and staff. The initiative involves the launch of the Little Adventures Child Care Center on campus.
AEEF manages several childcare centers in the Western Slope region and is overseen by Executive Director Jennifer Knott, who has more than two decades of experience in early childhood education. The organization’s approach emphasizes developmentally focused care for working families.
“Our mission at Little Adventures Child Care Center is to provide a nurturing and stimulating environment where children can learn, grow and thrive. We’re committed to supporting each child’s unique development through engaging activities, quality care and a focus on their social, emotional, cognitive and physical well-being. I’m honored to have this opportunity to support the students and faculty at CMU with their childcare needs and am looking forward to serving families in our community,” said Jennifer Knott, Executive Director of Access Early Education Foundation.
The partnership aims to enhance support services at CMU by making it easier for members of the university community to balance academic or work commitments with family responsibilities. The new center offers convenient access to reliable childcare as well as opportunities for early childhood education in a safe setting.

Additionally, Little Adventures will hold its first Trick or Treat Walk on Friday, October 31. The event invites CMU students, faculty, and staff to participate by setting up outside along a designated route from 11 am to 12 pm. Candy will be distributed by teachers with consideration for allergies; treats containing nuts are discouraged. Non-food items such as stickers or small toys are also welcome for inclusion in children’s trick-or-treat buckets.
