Colorado Mesa University has announced a new partnership with Timberline Bank to launch the “Round-Up for Rowdy” program. This initiative allows Timberline Bank customers to opt in and have their debit card purchases rounded up to the nearest dollar, with the difference donated directly to the CMU Century Scholarship.

Louise Goodman, President of Timberline Bank’s Grand Junction branch, said, “Timberline Bank is proud to partner with Colorado Mesa University on a program that channels our customers’ everyday purchases into real educational opportunity. Round-Up for Rowdy reflects our commitment to community-driven banking, and we’re honored to help expand scholarship support for students across Mesa County.”

The CMU Century Scholarship supports Mesa County students and is part of the broader CMU Promise, which covers tuition costs for Colorado students whose families earn less than $70,000 per year. The aim is to make higher education more accessible within the region.

John Marshall, President of Colorado Mesa University, stated, “For a century, Colorado Mesa University has been shaped and supported by our community partners, and this program exemplifies that. Thanks to Timberline Bank, anyone’s everyday purchases become powerful investments in our students.”

Enrollment in Round-Up for Rowdy is free for Timberline Bank checking account holders. The program only applies to debit card purchase transactions; other types such as ATM withdrawals or ACH transfers are not eligible. Customers can cancel their enrollment at any time.

The Colorado Mesa University Foundation works to increase educational opportunities at CMU by raising funds for scholarships and academic programs. Timberline Bank is known for its commitment to serving western Colorado communities.
