The Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) has announced two upcoming public open houses to provide updates on the Federal Boulevard Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) project. Federal Boulevard is recognized as one of the busiest transit corridors in the Denver metropolitan area. The proposed BRT project aims to improve transit by offering faster and more reliable service for thousands of daily riders.

According to CDOT, community members attending the open houses will have the opportunity to learn about the preliminary design for the Federal Boulevard BRT, review proposed station locations and station designs, and hear about next steps in the project. CDOT staff and project team members will be present to answer questions from attendees.

The first open house is scheduled for Wednesday, October 29, from 5 to 7 p.m. at The MAC, located at 3295 W. 72nd Ave., Westminster, CO 80030. The second session will take place on Thursday, October 30, from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Westwood Community Center at 1000 S. Lowell Blvd., Denver, CO 80219.

CDOT has stated that burritos, beverages, and children’s activities will be available at both events.
