The Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) will temporarily close the Cuerno Verde Rest Area in Colorado City starting October 6. The closure is necessary to allow for improvements, including the replacement of the HVAC system.

According to CDOT, variable message signs will be installed to inform drivers about the closure and provide information on alternative rest stops. The closure is expected to last up to 30 days.
