The Colorado Department of Education will hold its Elevating Excellence Conference on September 17 and 18 at the Adams County Government Building in Brighton. The event is open to teachers from all subject areas and grade levels across the state. There is no cost for attending.
The conference will offer more than 40 sessions that aim to improve student outcomes through effective instructional practices. According to Susana Córdova, Colorado Commissioner of Education, “By bringing teams of leaders and educators from across districts, BOCES, and schools, we can collectively focus on what matters most—engaging students, accelerating outcomes, strengthening the educator workforce, and building operational excellence in every community. I encourage educators and leaders at every level to join us for this important event.”
The conference is intended for a broad audience of educators but may be especially useful for core instructional teachers, general education teachers, leaders involved with federal programs, special education staff, English language development instructors, members of BOCES (Boards of Cooperative Educational Services), and other local educational providers.
Registration remains open until Friday, September 12.
The Colorado Department of Education works toward creating equitable educational environments throughout the state by serving its 178 school districts and BOCES. The department’s stated mission includes improving student outcomes and ensuring access to high-quality schools for students and families statewide.
