The Coalition of Black Trade Unionists (CBTU) Region II recently held a conference in the Washington, D.C. area, focusing on the challenges faced by federal workers during the ongoing government shutdown and reductions in staffing levels.
During the event, participants discussed how federal employees are managing under these difficult circumstances. The conference highlighted concerns about job security and workplace conditions as a result of recent cuts and disruptions.
The CBTU Region II represents union members across the Mid-Atlantic region. The organization works to address issues affecting Black workers and advocates for fair labor practices within both public and private sectors.
