Colorado Chooses Vaccines, a coalition aimed at promoting vaccine access and accurate information, has announced its commitment to providing clear, science-based guidance for residents of Colorado. The group was formed in response to what it describes as unpredictable federal guidance and the rapid spread of misinformation about vaccines.

The coalition’s efforts focus on several areas. It monitors changes in federal policy related to immunization and quickly communicates their impact within Colorado. The group also advocates for strong state policies that protect vaccine access and seeks to defend against attempts to weaken the immunization system. Additionally, it coordinates communication efforts to ensure Coloradans receive trustworthy information and helps address misinformation by highlighting voices from trusted messengers throughout the state.

According to a statement from the coalition, “We are facing a critical moment. Federal agencies are promoting vaccine misinformation—including false claims linking vaccines and autism—contradicting decades of scientific research. At the same time, measles, pertussis, and other vaccine-preventable diseases are on the rise and vaccination rates are declining.”

Colorado Chooses Vaccines aims to bring together experts and community representatives to provide clarity during what it calls a period of national uncertainty. “Colorado Chooses Vaccines brings together experts and community voices to provide clarity amid national uncertainty. We support providers, respond quickly to policy changes, share easy-to-use educational tools, and make sure Colorado continues to follow evidence—not politics—when it comes to keeping people healthy,” the coalition stated.

The group says its work is intended to strengthen systems that make vaccination simple, safe, and accessible for all age groups in Colorado.
