The Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) will resume paving operations on Colorado Highway 145 near Mountain Village from September 2 to September 4. The work will cover the stretch from Wagner Way at Mile Point 69.5 to just north of Mountain Village Boulevard at Mile Point 70.

Crews are scheduled to operate between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m., Tuesday through Thursday, focusing on approximately half a mile along Lawson Hill. During this period, motorists should expect full stops, alternating traffic, and delays ranging from 15 to 30 minutes while paving is underway. CDOT noted that the operations are weather dependent.

Last week’s paving activities were cancelled due to poor weather conditions.

The project is part of ongoing maintenance along the San Juan Skyway loop, which connects Durango, Silverton, Ridgway, Telluride, and Dolores. In addition to the paving work near Mountain Village, CDOT urges drivers to reduce speed and remain alert for firefighters and heavy equipment on CO 145 between Rico and Dolores.
