Colorado Mesa University’s Food Pantry has been chosen as a beneficiary of City Market’s Fight Hunger Bag program, which aims to support local hunger relief efforts.

From February through March 2026, each $2.50 reusable Fight Hunger Bag purchased at the 24 Road City Market location will result in a $1 donation to The Pantry. These donations are intended to improve food access for CMU students facing food insecurity.

“All proceeds raised for The Pantry are reinvested directly back into supporting our students. Increased community support like this allows us to serve more students and expand access to nutritious food,” said Isabel Manzanares, executive assistant to the senior vice president for Student Services.

The Pantry has expanded since its initial opening on CMU’s main campus in 2022 and now operates five locations: three on the main campus, one at CMU Tech, and one at the Montrose campus. Through these sites, students can access free snacks, grab-and-go meals, pantry staples, and daily necessities.

Faculty, staff, students, and community members who want to contribute food or monetary donations can contact [email protected] for further information about getting involved.

The available locations for The Pantry include Lowell Heiny Hall 141 near IRIS; Tomlinson Library near IT; Hamilton Rec Center near Juice Junction on the main campus; Kayenta Hall in the Student Services office at CMU Tech; and Branscome Center at Montrose Campus.
