The Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) will hold a public open house to discuss proposed improvements for Interstate 25 between the US 36/I-270 interchange and 104th Avenue. This section of the highway has experienced a consistent rise in crashes since 2012, prompting CDOT to consider measures aimed at enhancing safety and traffic flow.

The open house is scheduled for Wednesday, October 22, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the Thornton Community Center, located at 2211 Eppinger Blvd., Thornton, CO 80229. Attendees can arrive at any time during the two-hour event. Display boards will present the proposed actions for transportation improvements along the corridor.

Community members are encouraged to provide input on the project, including ideas for improving transit in the area. The public will have opportunities to interact with the project team in person, by email, through a hotline, or by submitting a comment form either at the meeting or online.

CDOT will make all materials from the open house, including an online survey, available on the project website after the meeting. The project area covers I-25 from US 36 to 104th Avenue and includes nearby communities such as Northglenn, Thornton, Federal Heights, and unincorporated Adams County.

A light meal will be provided at the event, and children’s activities will be available.
