The Colorado Department of Transportation will conduct culvert cleaning and shoulder clearing on Colorado Highway 145, west of Telluride, on April 16. The work is scheduled from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., with motorists facing full stops, alternating traffic, and delays of up to 20 minutes along Keystone Hill between Telluride and Placerville.

This routine maintenance is intended to remove debris and reduce the risk of erosion or flooding on the roadway. The operations are weather dependent and aim to keep the highway safe for travel.

During Thursday’s daytime hours, drivers should expect lane shifts, closures, flaggers directing traffic, and should allow extra time for their trips. Motorists are advised to plan for delays ranging from 15 to 20 minutes during the affected period.
