The Colorado Medical Society (CMS) is seeking nominations for a Resident/Fellow representative to serve on its Board of Directors. The position carries a one-year term, with the possibility of reappointment each year until the individual completes their residency or fellowship.

Board meetings are scheduled quarterly in March, June, September, and December. These sessions take place on Friday afternoons from 1-5 p.m., with the option for participants to join either virtually or in person at the CMS office or annual meeting location via Zoom. Board members are expected to review meeting materials ahead of time, which adds approximately one hour per meeting to their responsibilities.

CMS provides mileage reimbursement for board members who travel more than 50 miles to attend meetings. For those traveling over 150 miles, overnight hotel expenses are also covered if the board’s business extends across two days.

To be eligible, candidates must be current residents or fellows in Colorado and maintain good standing as CMS members. There is no cost for resident/fellow membership in CMS.
