Accessing Higher Ground 2026, presented by AHEAD and in partnership with ATLAS at the University of Colorado Boulder, announced on April 16 that it is accepting proposals for its 29th annual conference. The submission deadline is April 29.

The Accessible Media, Web and Technology Conference will take place from Nov. 16 to Nov. 20 at the Hilton Denver City Center. The event focuses on topics such as accessible media, universal design, best practices for web and media development, accessible curriculum, alternate formats, artificial intelligence, legal and policy issues including ADA and Section 508 compliance, evidence-based research, teaching about accessibility in curriculum, and other related subjects in higher education or business environments.

Organizers are seeking both one- and two-hour main conference sessions as well as three-hour or six-hour preconference proposals. Preconference speakers are eligible for additional discounts on conference fees. Those interested can submit their proposals using the online speaker proposal form available through the AHG website.

Discounts are available for various participants: out-of-state speakers receive a ten percent discount on registration; CU campus community members get an additional five percent discount; CU Boulder affiliates benefit from a ten percent discount due to AHEAD membership; preconference speakers receive a fifty percent discount for three-hour sessions or a full waiver for full-day workshops.

For questions regarding proposal submissions, Howard Kramer can be contacted at 720-351-8668 or via email at hkramer@colorado.edu. More information about the conference is available at http://accessinghigherground.org/.
